Studio Policies

Dress Code


In order for the teachers to ensure proper placement and technique, students must be dressed properly to dance. If your child is not in the appropriate attire they will not be able to take their class. Hair must be secured off of the face. Dance skirts, of any kind, are no longer permitted.

The following clothing is required:

Pre-Dance

Black leotard, pink tights, pink leather ballet slippers. Hair must be in a bun or tied back. NO SKIRTS

Pre-Tap

Black tap shoes.

Ballet

Black leotard, pink tights, pink leather ballet slippers. Hair must be in a bun. NO SKIRTS

Tap

Dance shorts or jazz pants with only a Dance Corner/WWPDC tee shirt or black leotard or camisole, tan low heel buckle tap shoes. Hair must be tied back.

Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, & Theater Dance

Dance shorts or jazz pants with only a Dance Corner/WWPDC tee shirt or black leotard or camisole, black slip on jazz boots. Hair must be tied back.

Hip Hop/Funk

Dance shorts or jazz pants with only a Dance Corner/WWPDC tee shirt or black leotard or camisole, black dance sneakers. Hair must be tied back.

Competition Team

Please check with instructor prior to first class.

Adult Classes

Dress codes do not apply
No jewelry, gum, skirts or tutus in class.
No food is allowed in the school or the studio.
Pre-school students are not permitted to leave studio until parent arrives

Attendance


If a student is absent the missed class may be made up in another class of similar level. Missed classes cannot be carried over to the next session (unless prior notification by instructor).

Inclement Weather


A message will always be left on the school's answering machine when classes are to be cancelled.
