A Letter from The Dance Corner Directors

Congratulations on this past weekend’s performances! In case you haven’t seen the audition notices at the studios, auditions for next season are this coming weekend. If you have a conflict but would like to be considered, please let us know by phone or email. Please see the attached notice (link above)

Having discussed this past year’s competition season, we would like to announce a couple of new (or just better enforced policies) for next season:

1. Only 2 absences allowed per session. WE WILL BE KEEPING TRACK AND IT IS 3 STRIKES AND YOU ARE OUT!!!!
2. In order to be on a lyrical team, you must take at least one ballet lesson per week.
3. Usually in the fall we announce which competitions we plan to attend and ask of you to inform us of any conflicts. If something arises after we have been entered into these competitions, we ask that you strongly consider your commitment to the team and try to make our previously chosen competition weekends the priority. If you do choose to do another activity on a team competition weekend, please give us at least 4 weeks advance notice. This allows the teacher time to rework the dance so that the group does not suffer on a whole from your choice not to participate.
4. We respectfully ask that all adhere to our new policies as we all strive to improve our performance levels at The Dance Corner. Also, as a reminder, the class time after competition is a perfect time to work on technique and skill level.
