Students are introduced to work in pointe shoes. Barre, center and traveling exercises will challenge the dancer while working on strengthening the core and center of balance. Musicality, phrasing, and performance techniques are introduced at this level. There is only one level of Pointe and students may repeat this level each year once approved. Pointe classes may perform in the annual recital.
Dancer has mastered pre-pointe and has received permission of the instructor.
Permission of the Instructor
Black leotard with pink footed or convertible dance tights. No skirts allowed.
Hair must be in a bun.
Dancer’s preferred pointe shoes.
Offerings in Ballet, Jazz/Hip Hop, Modern, Tap, and Senior Tap.
Seasonal offerings for dancers at all levels in multiple styles.
An audition only team that competes at regional and national dance competitions.
The West Windsor Plainsboro Dance Company provides opportunities for seasonal performances beyond a traditional recital.
